Good place for a cold beer with a reasonable price. Buffalo chicken pizza is really the best bar pizza you can find in the south shore area. Bartenders are friendly and the atmosphere is good besides the very loud music specially after 6 pm( yes, if you’re not under 30, you will be a bit uncomfortable for sure). Even with that loudness issue, place deserves a 41/2 star and giving 4 stars it is not fair.

We ordered Jalapeno Pepper and Bacon Pizza, Sausage Green Pepper and Onion Pizza, Hamburger and Bacon Pizza and a Cheese Pizza all Laced and Well Done 👍.
The Service was Good and The Beers were Cold 👍.
I went here for bingo in the function hall. I use to come here every 2 months just for bingo. They stopped having bingo of course because of COVID, so I was supper excited to go back for bingo, food and drinks. Sometimes Athenas would rent the space for bingo night. They still serve the food and drinks. The drinks this visit was not good. It tasted more like soda water and the steak and cheese egg rolls were soggy on the bottom like the oil wasn't hot enough when it was cooked, but the sweet chili chicken wings were cooked to perfection and so good. The waitresses were really nice. The bar and grill side sometimes has live bands or a DJ. There is an outside patio area that is real nice. So after bingo we could go on the other side and shake a tail feather and have a few more drinks.
First time at Players to see Booty Vortex for a friend’s birthday party. Apps were good and their drinks were good too. The band was so fabulous! Staff was great too. Just wish the manager got the function room party cleared out by 9. The party dragged on til after 9:39 and the band started late. We all had to pay the $20 cover for the band (which was fine—-they were totally worth it) but the function room party did not and they would not clear out so all of the tables were still up which cut the size of the dance floor. We all made the best of it and had a lot of fun, but in the future perhaps it could be more organized and managed better.
Recently had a 30th birthday party here and it was fabulous. Everyone was very helpful getting the food and room decorated. Communication was great. The food was phenomenal. Just want to also give a shout out to Madison, Jacqui, Steph for making the night unbelievable. If you’re looking to book a function this is the place to be!
Not thrilled with service at players sports bar rest. My party of 4 people arrived at 6:00 pm and ordered food and did not get our food untill 7:50 pm. We were not very happy. We ordered sandwich and and 2 dinners. Everyone was getting there food before us and we were in there ordering before they arrived. I am just as shocked as you. Then my order was wrong I ordered the turkey spinach wrap. I got the turkey club. I did not give my plate back to waitress I ate it . I was afraid I would have to wait another 1 hour and 45 min. We did ask waitress what was taking so long after 1 hr and she said they were very busy. Well this has never happened to me before. I have to say I give your restaurant a rate of #2.👿😞
Got there at 7:30pm she took my order at 7:50. She(bartender)came over and said “what”? I said chicken wrap and a coke, she just walked away. At 8:35 - 8:40pm I got my food. Got home in 5 minutes and the food was cold and fries soggy. Threw it away. The waitress I asked to check on my food did say “it’s been there a while”. Wasted $17.12 and an hour of my life I will never get back. There is a black female bartender who is very good…unfortunately I had the other one who looked like she was over being a bartender. The owner is a very hardworking and astute businesswoman who I just wanted to let know my experience tonight. I’m sure she’ll be on this. Just also seems that the better looking you are at the bar, the better service you get, which the female patron next to me told me and I agreed.
Got there Friday 8/25 at 6:25pm my order was taken at 7:50pm. The female bartender pm bartender 2 finally came over to me and said “what”? I asked for coke and gold fever wrap. Walked away without saying anything. Got my food at 8:35pm. I had to ask a waitress where my food was, she walked over to other end of bar picked up my food and brought it over to me, she said “been there a while” I left and got home 5 minutes later with cold food and soggy fries. That was my experience tonight. Check number 150393. The owner is a very nice hardworking and astute businesswoman who runs a good place, I just needed to let her know about my experience tonight so she does not need to reply, I’m sure she will be on this.
